“The LORD bless you and keep you;
the LORD make His face to shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you
and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
I know that I’ve said this before, but I do pray over each post that I write. I pray that God will inspire my words to speak truth, life, and wisdom into the hearts of each and every reader. I pray for you when I write, asking that the LORD has prepared your heart for whatever it is that He wants to say to you. I pray each time that you are drawn closer to Jesus after spending time reading Neue Thing. I pray that lives are forever changed for God’s glory through this ministry.
Today is no different. I have been praying that God will sing His blessing over you through His Word as we pray together today. Today’s post is my prayer for you. I want you each to know that you are loved by an awesome God, you are being pursued by His matchless love, and you are covered in prayer by this servant. May your hearts be encouraged today by His truth.
“The LORD bless you and keep you”
Heavenly Father,
I lift up my dear sisters to you today asking that you fulfill your promise to them and reveal your faithfulness to them today. I ask that you place your favor upon their lives, and that you bless them with every good blessing that comes from above. As they seek your face today, as they call out to you in prayer, hear their cries and answer them with your love and your presence. Draw them close to you and keep them by your side. May the nearness of your presence be the cry of their hearts.
“The LORD make His face to shine upon you”
Lord, your presence alone is the greatest blessing. Shine your face upon them, causing their faith to flourish and their doubt to fade. As you reveal more of yourself to them each day, create within them a deeper desire for more time spent in your presence. Your Word tells us that when we seek you, we will find you when we search for you with all of our heart. Lord, they’ve come today in search of you. Reveal the beauty of your face to each one as they passionately pursue after you.
“and be gracious to you”
Today, may they know the power of your grace in their lives. You extend mercy and grace towards them each new day. Cause them to live in that grace and to depend upon it. Continue to show them how wonderful you are and how deep your affections are for them. It is only because of your grace that we can come to you today.
“The LORD lift up His countenance upon you”
Again, I ask that you reveal the beauty of your face to them. For when they see the beauty of the LORD, their hearts will swell with faith. So, shine upon them today. Cause them to recognize your beauty all around them and to praise you for it.
“and give you peace.”
Fill them with a peace today that surpasses all understanding, a peace that cannot be described or defined apart from you, Jesus. As you cover them in your peace, cause all the chaos and confusion in their lives to quiet in your presence and renew, restore, and rebuild them there. Bless them today, Lord Jesus, with your love, your presence, and your peace.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
1. Journal your own prayer as I’ve done above using these verses. Pray God’s Word today over your family.
2. What encouragement have you received from this prayer from God’s Word? Journal your response of gratitude to the Lord for His blessings.
