“For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers…” Ephesians 1:15-16
I know that I have said this many times before, and I’ll say it again today. I pray for you. It’s true. I pray for you daily. I’m aware that I don’t personally know each one of you, but I pray for anyone that would read Neue Thing. I pray that God would bless these words that I write and use them to encourage you and strengthen your faith in Him. I’m always praying for you. Just yesterday, I was so beautifully reminded again of the power of prayer. The mother of a very dear friend of mine is fighting cancer for the second time, and it has been a rough few weeks of treatments. She sent out a request to a group of her close friends last night to pray. And pray we did! As the group texts were going back and forth, I could feel God at work already! On numerous occasions, the Lord brings this dear woman to mind, and I find myself praying for her healing. Then it dawned on me. Even though I don’t know many of you, I still pray for you. I also know that prayer is a powerful tool, one that we often neglect, but when used, it can move mountains. So, I passed on the request to pray to my entire social network, and within minutes, there were numerous friends, acquaintances, and even some people that I don’t know well at all joining me in prayer for this woman, someone I know and love, but someone they have never met. But they prayed.
Prayer is powerful, and prayer changes things – most importantly, the heart of the one in prayer. So, today I’m asking you to step out in faith and believe along with me in the power of prayer. Would you post a comment sharing with myself along with the others that are reading today’s post letting us know how we can pray for you? It’s a simple request – just share what needs prayer and then join in as we pray for each other. I’m expecting great things from our great God as we together in faith today choose to take Him at His Word and believe Him for great things! There is NOTHING that is too small or insignificant to cover in prayer and there certainly is NOTHING too difficult for our God to accomplish. Will you join in prayer with me today?
How can I pray for you today?

Hi Cherie,
The relationship that I was in ended yesterday. Without going into details, I can't but know that God saved me from a very big mistake. Yes, my heart hurts but I know that relationship is not what God wanted for me. Please pray for healing and for me to feel Gods love.

What a beautiful thing to be praying for each other! I pray for you and your ministry that it would be fruitful and grow, and I thank Him for your determination to reach women in a fresh and beautiful way so we may all draw nearer to HIm! My prayer request is for protection over my family for health and our minds! My son is performing in an opera in a week and a half and we are struggling with fear, what if no one comes, pride, what if the people that come don't like it, and just a sense of disrupted peace. Pray that we trust HIm in all things through this wonderful opportunity. Thank you! Kelly

Hi Cherie, I love this post because I know that you pray for everyone that enters Neue Thing and reads the words the Lord gives you. I will be checking in to see everyone's post so that I can be praying for them. My prayer request is parenting wisdom for my husband and me and for protection over our teenage son to walk in God's will for his life.

This is a wonderful idea. Maybe you could have a prayer request link to each new post that you do so we could easily access the latest prayer requests that come up. Is that possible? My prayer request mainly is for salvation for my family especially for my dad…complete healing for Lori and that I honor Christ in all I say and do in the workplace.

I agree. An online prayer-link is a wonderful idea. Following a fall and broken hip, I ask for prayers for healing of my physical body but also for the restoration of my spirit as I'm struggling emotionally with both the pain and the limitations I'm subject to now. Also, prayer for Tabitha and her family. Tabi, age 18, has been hospitalized with a necrotizing disease for a week. Yesterday, both legs were amputated, one below the knee, the other above with further surgeries to come.
