As I sit down to write this post, I can’t help but think of you right now, each one of you that are reading this. Each time I post a blog, every time I write a devotional, my prayer behind each one is that God will use it in such a way that it will bless the one who reads it. Believe it or not, I pray for you every day. I pray that God meets with you where you are as you read these words and that you find comfort in His presence as you take the time to read whatever it is that He puts on my heart to share with you. I pray that your heart will be forever changed and that even one woman would grow to love God more, just one. Every day, each time I write, you are on my mind. I write for two simple reasons: to know God and to make Him known. That’s it. Every day as I prepare to share with you, I’m brought to an amazing place with Jesus. He meets me in my study, He quiets my racing thoughts, and He speaks to my heart through His Word. He overwhelms me with His love, and my only hope is that I’m able to articulate what He’s teaching me to each one of you. I want to make Him known. I want each woman who reads these daily posts to come to know Jesus more through the outpourings of my own heart as the Lord inspires me. I am praying for you right now.
Prayer has been a passion of mine for several years now. I love to spend time in prayer with others, for others, alone, out loud, silently, at random points throughout my day. I find it incredibly powerful when I take the time to write out my prayers. I have countless prayer journals, not all full of course, but pages of prayers that I can go back to and see what God has done since the time I wrote them. I love to write out my prayers. I want to share a prayer with you today, a prayer that I am writing for you. As you read the words of this prayer, know that I am praying for you. You are being lifted up to our Heavenly Father. I don’t know your specific hurt, your worry, your fear, but He is acquainted with each need and He hears the prayers of His people. He rises to show us compassion. So, I call out to the Most High God today on your behalf. You are loved, dear sister, and I am praying for you.
Wonderful, Merciful Savior,
Thank you for the priceless gift of your presence, without which we would be lost. I ask that you would make known your presence to every woman reading these words – to the mother who is tired, to the wife who is longing to feel loved, to the young woman who is searching, reveal yourself to each one in this moment. Lord, I thank for the lives of each woman, each story represented on the other side of this screen. She is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Because of your great love for her, you have planned in advance good things for her, and your plan is to give her hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Wherever she may find herself right now, in the deepest pit of sin or in her darkest night of pain, cause her to lift up her eyes to you because her help comes from you, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1). Remind her today in her difficulty, in her struggle, in her trial that your grace is sufficient for her; your power is made perfect in her weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Draw her to your side in complete surrender and total dependence upon you. May she embrace the freedom that you died to give to her, and may she stand firm in that freedom, refusing to return to her old life of sin and slavery (Galatians 5:1). You have begun a good work in her life, and I praise you that your Word promises that you will complete that good work that you’ve started in her (Philippians 1:6). Silence the lies of the enemy that shout at her, deceiving and defeating her, and fill her mind with truth. Cause your peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding, to guard her heart when her emotions seek to control her and to guard her mind when her thoughts betray her (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her today with your power so that she may have great endurance, patience, and joy despite her current circumstances (Colossians 1:11). I thank you that you are a God who can sympathize with her in her weaknesses because you were tempted in every way, yet without sin! You know what she is going through, so help her to approach your throne of grace today with confidence, so that she may receive mercy and find grace in her time of need (Hebrews 4:15-16). Lord, you are able to do immeasurably more than all she can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Increase her faith in you today, Jesus, so that she trusts you with everything and expects you to do the impossible in her life and in the lives of those she loves.
I pray all these things in the matchless name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.

Praise you Cherie for thinking of us to write such a beautiful prayer. This prayer meant so much to me. It was as though you were writing it directly for me.
I shared this with a few of my friends whom I feel are in the same ways as I today.
Thank You,
Bobbie

Thank you Cherie! I’ve read most of those scriptures at some point, but to have them prayed over me…I feel blessed. Need to be reminded sometimes of the power of prayer, and of Gods word! I will be sharing this prayer with my small group girls tonight as we huddle for hours in line for twilight :-/ They deal with so much even in their HS ages and I know this prayer will bless them, and also be the guide for conversation:) God has blessed me through you!

Cher,
Thanks so much for your prayers, dear girl. Just what I needed tonight, a Saturday, as I prepare to go and love, teach, and encourage the women at church. I need His grace to love as He loved. Thanks, my friend. Love you!
